The Goliad Sales Tax Development Corporation (GSTDC) was created in 1996 by the City of Goliad to promote industrial and commercial development in Goliad County. One-half of a percent from every taxable sale is reinvested in economic development for the City and County of Goliad by the GSTDC. The goal of the Corporation is to attract new business while expanding existing businesses in an effort to create new jobs. All complete applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors and awarded based on the overall economic impact to the community and the number of jobs to be created in Goliad.
