The Goliad Economic Development Office will strive to attract new industries and business, to increase the local tax base and labor force, to pursue new housing developments and promote Heritage Tourism.

Our mission is to further the economic growth and development of the city and county of Goliad while preserving the integrity of our rich heritage.

Who are we?
Goliad Economic Development Program is fully supported by the City, County, Goliad Independent School District, and the Goliad Sales Tax Development Corporation. Goliad promotes a pro-business climate. Land and housing are reasonably priced, the Golden Crescent and Coastal Bend Regions provide a ready, well educated labor force for industry located in Goliad, and the quality of life is unbeatable. The Goliad Sales Tax Development Corporation works hand in hand with the Goliad Economic Development Office to diversify the economy. Economic growth and job creation is the priority of the Goliad Economic Development Office. This commitment is backed by creative economic incentive programs.

Goliad is a member of the Texas Workforce Commission’s Golden Crescent Workforce development region. Goliad belongs to the Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission (GCRPC) Council of Government.
